Diversity Matters: Cultivating Diversity-Sensitive and Inclusive Learning Environments

Are you ready to make your teaching more inclusive?

Are you striving to make your teaching more inclusive? Are you wondering how to be responsive to the diverse backgrounds and needs of your students? How can you effectively support students facing barriers or discrimination in higher education?

In this half-day workshop, we will explore how diversity shapes the reality of higher education and discuss first steps and practical strategies to foster a more inclusive learning environment.

This workshop includes:

  • A brief introduction: Why are people talking about "diversity-sensitive" and "inclusive" teaching? What does it mean?
  • Opportunities to critically reflect diversity within your classroom and university.
  • Ideas on developing a more diversity-conscious teaching attitude along with practical methods and communication strategies to promote inclusivity.

Join us for an engaging and collaborative session to exchange ideas and develop strategies for embedding diversity into your courses. Together, we can create universities that are inclusive, welcoming, and equitable for everyone.

An optional follow-up session (1.5 hours) will be available for collegial exchange and sharing experiences. The workshop and the follow-up can be attended independently.

The workshop will be led by:
